G'day
mate....! Hi smloo,
No, I'm not
contributing in the Right Timing
column. I only write
once-in-a-while and Mr Azam Aris
slotted them under 'The Right
Timing Special' series... that
again my contribution was rather
scarce (a highly-ranked friend
from OCBC even said once: "You
write only once year!"). They
offered me a column but time is
not in my favour and I prefer to
appear as and when I'm in the
mood (of writing), for now.
Again, I normally avoid pure
journalistic themes. I prefer to
be a bit analytical in what I
wish to share, as an
intellectual discourse of course
-- or else people can sue me if
things don't go their way!
(Right?).
For friends
out there, here's the link for
the chart I mentioned (I have
posted under Friendster):

Bye, time to
go for my roti canai & teh tarik
at the mamak stall! Take care,
all of you. |

Hi Arifin,
I totally agree with you about
the Edge. I have never miss a
single issue since its first
issue, unless I am overseas.
Out of curiosity, is the weekly
Right Timing column on the
analysis of the stock market
contributed by you?

Hi
smloo,
Frankly I'm still not sure if
they run my brief commentary or
not. Anyway in or not you should
keep abreast with the other
stories/news in The Edge -- I
find it worthwhile reading it
for it helps me to strategise
wisely to trade come next
Monday. You don't get many local
weekly investment/finance
magazines that have survived
this long... I have been an
ardent reader from day 1... but
have skipped a lot these past
few years except when there
run my articles/ commentaries or
when they have interesting
stories from prominent
columnists like Stiglitz, Sachs,
Roach, etc. (it feels nice when
your article/viewpoint shares
the same forum pages with the
likes of the Nobel laureatte
[Joseph Stiglitz]), and of
course our local writers like
Sulaiman Mahboob, Nungsari, etc.
Btw, you can
always grab a copy from the
mamak news stalls early while
having your roti canai/teh tarik...
no need to wait for the
bookshops/news agents to open.
The Edge normally sells fast in
TTDI area - selling like hot
pisang goreng!.
Have a nice
weekend, happy reading and plan
carefully come Monday the 8th of
Jan 2007! |

Hi Arifin,
I shall be waiting outside the
newsagent early Saturday morning
to get the first copy of the
Edge.

Hi
John
&
Others,
I
have
done
a
quick
commentary
on
that
before
lunch
time
today.
Have
send
it
to
The
Edge
for
this
week's
issue...
hope
that
Azam
picked
it
up
without
much
editing
and
have
reserved
some
space
for
it.
Tentatively
I
gave
it
this
title
-- "In2-007:
What
lies
ahead
for
KLCI?"
(In2
=
Into,
and
007
=
James
Bond...).
Its
a
brief
one
with
just
one
chart,
and I
have
included
my
short forecast(s)
for
the
KLCI
in2-007....
Stay
tune
and
spare
a fiver
for
a
copy
of
The
Edge's
1st
issue
of
this
year.
C u
all
then.
Meantime
keep
on
making
some
money
tomorrow,
and
always....
Thanks
gang,
all
d
best,
always!

Interesting

Anybody else?

Sigh,
I'm 1 year older already.
Hopefullly, could
make new aspirations/resolutions
this year.
No offence to
many forumers here, but after
profiting much from last years
market, I would to re-enter the
market again but at cheaper
price. So, I was hoping for a
BUST in the stock market. No
offence here again to many who "pantang".
But I believe it would bring
better benefits to you guys as
well. The stock market is just
like wheat harvesting. AFter a
great harvest, the farm must be
burned down into ashes creating
a natural fertilizer for the
next planting/harvest. If you
understand this, I believe most
of you would like to buy shares
like Genting,topglove,KNM,etc at
say 30-50% discount rather than
now as most blue chips are in
their peaks.
Just my "2
cents".

With a healthy vegan burger,
herb potato + creamy cheese
brocoli; and Kuching black
coffee at hand for my dinner,
this is my guess :
1st 1,331, then 1,557 and end
with 2,012 [e wave]. Probably I
should try my hand on EDGE :)-
It's been 14yrs man !!!! 2 of my
shares that I bought in 1992
still being suspended... How ?
Better stay with my
gold/silver...
Old man bought in a lot of
finance shares 6mths ago,
laughing to the bank...

well, I guess next year would be
a great year with
exceptions/precautions. As the
market looks overweight now, it
will correct once it breaches
the 1100 mark in Jan '07. |

Happy
New
Year
to
all
fellow
Malaysians,
everywhere!
With
a
good
roti
canai/nasi
lemak and teh
tarik
and
glancing
thru
the
newspapers... I
can't
help
but
say
that
the
local
press
has
spiced
up
with
nice
storylines
this
morning!
Is
it too
good
to
be
true?
KLCI
at
1,200
is
the
common
theme,
1,330
the
big
resistance,
and/but
why
not
pass
that
barrier?
I'll
be
doing
my
own
study
tonite
to meet
tomorrow's
dateline
for
a
story
in The
EDGE's first
issue
of
the
year!
Well
the
journalists
and
expert
panelists
have
had
their
say.....
what
about
you
guys/gals
out
there?
Surely
we
have
our
own
perceptions
--
don't
fret
spill
it
out...
who
knows
perhaps
some
of
our
prognoses
could
very
well
be
on
target
far
better
than
what
the
experts
are
thinking.
Let
end-2007
be
the
judge
--
come
on
share
your
thoughts.
Remember
that
the
people-in-the-streets
can't
be
all
wrong,
and
the
experts
were
not
always
right
in
their
prognoses.
Perhaps
the
SC
should
come
up
with
some
kind
of
award
to
recognise
the
unsung
heros....
some
may
turn
out
to
be
more
heroic
than
the
experts.
Mark
my
words!
All
d
best!
